With mosaic artist Bea, you and your best friends can make a personal mosaic work of art for your loved ones, for example a "YOU+ME" piece or the date of your wedding anniversary. In the big size of "95 x 35cm" nobody ever will forget your wedding date, promised! 

During the 4 hour Mosaic Workshop for Bachelor*ette Party "Love You To Pieces" in Cologne, Germany, you gonna sit around a big table at Bea's beautiful home and studio. 

Bea guides you through the whole process and to make sure it doesn't get too dry, Bea's friend and winemaker from imi winery comes with a selection of wines made directly in Cologne-Ehrenfeld.

Bea's tiles aka "teilz" are like pixels. But every tile breaks differently, so every piece is unique. Bea's art is created from these fragments. Mosaics that depict large-format logos or typography, but also free pieces, mostly inspired by the colors and glazes of the retro tiles used exclusively.

Putting the fragments together is an almost meditative process. You have to keep an eye on the big picture and yet pay attention to every little thing. The special effect of the mosaics unfolds even more through pigmented joints, which give the picture a unique fragility and volatility. Our viewing habits are broken and a sensitive nerve of our time is hit.

Materials that will be used: Multiplex board, aluminum frame (silver or brass anodized), tile fragments in different colors, glue, joint compound, pigments.

About the artist:

Bea has been working as an interior designer for 12 years and her focus has been on refinishing vintage furniture and integrating it into room concepts.

Through some unfortunate and many fortunate circumstances, the artist discovered and further developed the mosaic as an interior design element.

The play with form and color that is possible in this art form got Bea so excited that she has been working exclusively as a mosaicist for over a year now.
