JAMIE, 28, PRINTMAKER, AMERICAN LIVING IN BERLIN. FAVORITE WORD: ILLUMINATION.

When you walk into the concept store Obst und Gemüse in Weserstraße, Neukölln, the probability is pretty high that you bump into warm-hearted sunshine Jamie. The printmaker and founder of ravel textiles is originally from San Francisco, California. One year ago she decided to move to Berlin to start with her own textile label. "I don't need a vision of where I want to be", the 28 year-old says. "I'm so happy to be here in Berlin with the right community who builds on the same beliefs. That's all I need." Her positive attitude and vibrant energy explains why her favorite word is "Illumination". How art became the center of her life and what is most fun about being an artist, she explains you in her subcultalk. >>
